Yuvraj Singh is ‘saddened and upset’ by remarks of his father Yograj Singh





Cricket star Yuvraj Singh has distanced himself from the inflammatory speech of his father Yograj Singh and said he is “saddened and upset” by his remarks. He also clarified that he didn’t share the same ideology as his father.

Yograj had delivered provocative speeches amidst the ongoing farmers’ protest which included  objectionable words on Hindu women. It led to advocate Satyam Singh of the Supreme Court of India to send a legal notice on behalf of one Sanjeev Kumar, stating Yograj not only “humiliated and defamed a community,” but also “glorified the separatist and terrorist ideology by mentioning (Sikh leader) Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale (who campaigned for a separate state) in his public discourse.”
