What befalls Egypt, Jordan for refusing in Palestinians?

The US President Donald Trump wants to shift over a million Palestinians into neighbouring Egypt and Jordan as if you shift you wall hangings from one room to another.

But these are living human beings who, if anything, have shown in the last 16 months they would rather die than leave their homeland.

Israel tried it, so did the Biden regime with its secretary of state Antony Blinken making multiple trips to Egypt and Jordan to convince them but puppets the two might be, they are not foolish to write their own death-warrants.

They could see, as did the rest of the world, that Palestinians lost their brothers and sisters, babies and elders; to go with no water, electricity or medical aid; and withstood starvation but never broke their ranks with Hamas.

There is a mass swell of anger amongst the masses of Egypt and Jordan on their regimes not standing against the ongoing catastrophe next door and if Palestinians were to be ethnically cleansed, as the Trump proposal amounts to, Sisi and Abdullah II would consign themselves to torn and soiled pages of history.

Sure Egypt gets a lot from the United States — half of what Israel gets and this aid has been in place for decades—and Jordan’s monarchy survives at the mercy of Washington but one can’t see them standing with Israel openly, in defiance to the general Arab world, and stil waking up the next morning.

Besides who is to tell Palestinians, and more importantly Hamas, would be okay with it?

And why Egypt and Jordan would trust Israel with which they have fought wars and which has its eyes set on these two lands for the Greater Israel project?

The Greater Israel project includes land up to the Nile river and moving eastwards, all the way from Lebanon to Jordan to Syria and Iraq.

All Israel would need is a flimsy pretext of invading Egypt and Jordan like the migrating Palestinians could launch any rocket or missile attack from their territories.

For Israelis don’t need any second invitation, in many cases not even first, to capture land as the present-day Syria would testify.

Egyptian military has long been in preparedness for a war, knowing Israel is just looking for an excuse to invade them.

Trump In A Trap

Trump, by now we know, has a habit of speaking before thinking it out.

He might have meant that by moving to neighbouring countries, at least the Palestinians could live for another day.

For there is little doubt in anyone’s mind that Israel would resume hostilities before or just after the fragile Ceasefire expires.

Why do you think the US is supplying them with 2000-ton bombs? These bombs have no utility except to wipe out residential quarters.

For Israel is still in Lebanon and bombing recklessly though the 60-day Ceasefire was over last Sunday.

The Ceasefire with Hamas might hold good because the freed Israeli hostages arriving home is leaving a massive impact on the Israeli population. They want more of them freed; and not that eventuality aborted for the remaining captives.

Trump has invited Benjamin Netanyahu to White House next week though under the ICC’s ruling the man should be arrested as a war-criminal.

There is little doubt the top agenda on their mind is the roadmap for Gaza. Trump talking of cleaning out the place and building shining multi-storeys for the “wonderful location” Gaza is too crass and distasteful.

Ideally, he would like the fire in Gaza to be doused out forever for that would be at least one impossible situation off his plate but that’s unlikely.

Trump has risen up to be the President on the money of the Zionist lobby. He can’t go against his sponsors who incidentally have Netanyahu’s back.

We all know that all Netanyahu wants is for Gaza to be cleaned out of all Palestinians.

If Egypt and Jordan oblige, good. If not, Round 2 of genocide would commence. It would make the US look worse though it is already a very reviled nation in the region.

The United States has risked losing the entire region, a region which has oil and all vital trade arteries of the world; it has risked the perpetual hostility of the Arabs and Muslims in general; or all those connecting corridors which it could build to rival China’s BRI or Russia’s INSTC.

All this for Israel whose goals are to drag the United States into Middle East’s conflicts and not extricate it.

Iran now has Russia’s cover so forget getting rid of this prickly thorn; and Turkey, be rest assured, has no plan to let Israel romp around without check.

Israel is in a mess, and has put the United States alongside in their suicidal mission.

Only if Trump disregards his sponsors, and the neocons who run Washington, and be true to his Make-America-Great-Again slogan, could peace return to the Middle East.

Or a nightmare would keep its appointment.

The colonialist projects ends only in three ways: One, the ethnic population is cleansed as the native Indians were in America; two, if there is an agreement on peaceful coexistence like we have in South Africa; and three, the most unlikely of all if the colonialists are sent packing as happened in Algeria.

The trouble is the middle way doesn’t seem possible.

Only one of the two could exist in this volatile part of the world.
