Indian prime minister Narendra Modi hasn’t yet responded to Donald Trump’s invitation to join the “Board of Peace.”
I feel Trump’s invite is coming from a good place but Modi is hesitant on multiple counts which on closer inspection shouldn’t matter.
To begin with, Trump is on a mission to short-circuit the United Nations and other international platforms as he is convinced all of them are designed to hollow out the United States.
Most of these international bodies are out of any government’s purview or judicial oversight.
They are a law unto themselves.
In Trump’s view, they are are fattening themselves at the expense of the United States.
That they are being weaponised against the United States.
These institutions, again in Trump’s views, are tools to benefit a certain set of elites who virtually hold the world’s economy to ransom and push agendas in the garb of human rights, democracy, freedom of speech, etc, etc.
So climate change is nothing but a weapon to deindustralize the world;
Human rights is the front for flooding nations with immigrants;
Covid vaccination is to the benefit of pharma giants;
Dangerous drugs flooding nations are straight from the playbook of Opium Wars which brought the “century of humiliation” for China in the 19th century;
insurance and investment cartels jack up cost of house and health for ordinary folks;
And endless wars followed by reconstruction bills fuel military and behemoths; etc, etc.
Trump has wriggled the United States out from 66 of 76 such “inviolable” international bodies and an expose on them is imminent.
Probably a matter of hours!
So this “Board of Peace” is nothing but a parallel structure to a body like the United Nations.
At the moment, it’s brief is undefined but certainly stopping the genocide in Gaza, peace in Middle East and Ukraine are priority.
This “Board of Peace” almost certainly would be good for the Palestinians in Gaza.
At the moment, Israel is unstoppable.
By not even inviting Israel in this “Board of Peace”, Trump could bring the genocide of Palestinians to a screeching halt.
With so many nations on board, Israel would virtually be pitting itself against the rest of the world.
As it is, Israel owes all its might to the United States.
Without Washington it can’t act with the impunity it presently indulges in.
This is Trump putting Israel and the Zionist lobby in the United States in its place.
Much of the so-called allies of the United States in Europe have unfailingly triggered chaos, protests, bringing down regimes around the world by “buying out” the US from inside through these globalists.
Until Trump came on to the scene.
Its the United States which get the blame for wars and regime-change across the world when in essence its these “globalists” who not only control the world’s finances but also hold lever to Oval Office in Washington.
Their favourite tool which work on common man like us is the bought-out mainstream media.
Your newspapers, agencies like AP, AFP, Reuters etc, are mere tools tied to little fingers of these globalists.
Who are these “globalists”?
It’s a small set of global elites, largely banking dynasties of centuries old, who control the world’s finances and operate out of City of London in conjunction with the Wall Street.
Much of world’s leading central banks and Federal Reserve are malleable to the command of this set of global elites.
These elites operate out of a handful of tax-havens around the world.
They not only fuel crime, terrorism, drug and money laundering but also cause anarchy and chaos through their NGOs which bring a regime change out of nowhere.
Why India is Wary
“Board of Peace” is an extremely bold move which a hegemon like the United States could afford but others like India could be wary of a minefield.
Among the nations invited in this “Board of Peace” are so-called US rivals, Russia and China.
So far reportedly five nations – Egypt, Qatar, UAE, Hungary and Vietnam—have agreed to be on this “Board of Peace” but we must await confirmation.
Others, some 60-odd nations including India, are mulling their stance.
Their caution stems from:
- It’s abetting the destruction of the United Nations; (b) Submitting one’s sovereignty to the will of one man, i.e. Donald Trump; (c) what happens when Trump leaves the scene; (d) would the move cause a split in the emerging multipolar world?
But it doesn’t have to be one choice over the other.
That one is using “Board of Peace” at the cost of UN and other international bodies such as WHO, climate change, UNESCO, UN Democracy Fund, Solar Alliance etc, etc.
“Board of Peace” at best could be a parallel measure and one could remain in both and yet override the harm these “inviolable” international bodies do.
In any case, “Board of Peace” has a duration of a mere three years, the length to which Donald Trump would stay in the White House.
But these three years could change our world for the good, I have reasons to believe.
In these three years, the Gaza genocide could stop;
Palestinians could be spared their lives; their land, homes and habitat restored;
Israel could be toothless on its provocation on Iran;
The chaos in Middle East could come to an end;
A peaceful Middle East could launch various trade routes which India, along with China and Russia, are hugely banking upon.
It would be a great leg-up for BRICS multipolarity.
Modi could also take this view and come on board.
Come to think of it, India has nothing to lose, more so when its multipolar allies, Russia and China, are said to be inclined in favour.
India has gained nothing but disappointment from the United Nations.
There is no reason to cling to a relic.
India, at the most, could annoy Israel but the world’s opinion is already hostile to latter’s genocidal intent in Gaza.
Further, India doesn’t really have to see it from the prism of UN vs Board of Peace.
As of now the United Nations still exists.
The UN itself had approved Trump’s Gaza peace plan last year.
It is not as if the UN is already dumped.
But if peace to Gaza, and Middle East returns, India would have done itself a great favour.
And earned the gratitude of millions of Muslims within its fold!
