The Supreme Court on Friday granted bail to Kerala journalist Siddique Kappan who was arrested in October 2020 in connection with the Hathras conspiracy case.
The UP government, earlier this week, had opposed the bail plea of Kappan alleging he has connections with terror-funding organisations like the Popular Front of India (PFI) and its student wing Campus Front of India (CFI).
