Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Kirit Somaiya has alleged that Sachin Vaze, the controversial cop now in NIA custody, has six businesses and two Shiv Sena leaders—Sanjay Mashelkar, Vijay Gawai—as business partners.
“Mumbai Police officer Sachin Waze has more than 6 businesses – Multibuild Infraprojects Limited, Techlegal Solutions Pvt Ltd, DGNext Multimedia Limited and others. Who were the business partners? Shiv Sena leaders Sanjay Mashelkar, and Vijay Gawai,” said Somaiya.

Vaze has been arrested by NIA on the Antilia Bomb Scare case—an explosive-laden SUV parked outside Reliance chairman Mukesh Ambani’s residence whose owner was later found dead—after 12 hours grilling on Saturday.
Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut has come to the defence of Vaze.
“I believe Sachin Waze is a very honest and capable officer. He has been arrested in connection with gelatin sticks that were found. One suspicious death also occurred. It’s Mumbai Police’s responsibility to investigate the matter. No central team was needed,” Raut said.
