No clean cheat to actors yet; Charge-sheet in six months: Bollywood-drugs nexus

Neither Deepika Padukone nor Shraddha Kapoor, nor for that matter Sara Ali Khan and Rukul Preet Singh, have been given clean chit in the drug probe by the Narcotics Control Bureau as per a report.

The report says that NBC has set a time-frame of six months for itself to file a charge sheet in the case. Sources claimed that the NCB DG Rakesh Asthana has given a green signal to the NCB teams to go for a crackdown on the drug nexus in Bollywood.

As many as 20 drug peddlers are under the lens of the NCB.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Saturday recorded statements of actors Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan in the drugs probe linked to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death and an alleged Bollywood-drugs nexus.

While Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor were questioned at the NCB’s zonal office at Ballard Estate, Padukone was questioned at a guest house in Colaba. The interrogation lasted up to six hours.
