Indian, Chinese armies clash at borders in Sikkim

Just as India and China resumed their ninth round of military talks on Sunday, the report has come in that three days ago, their armies were involved in a physical clash at Naku La, near the Sikkim borders.

The skirmish is said to have happened after a Chinese patrol troop tried to intrude into Indian territory.

It’s learnt that the incursion bid was foiled and in the process several Chinese soldiers were injured. Indian soldiers too sustained injuries.

This is the first account of clash between two armies since the Galwan valley clash on June 15-16 when there were casualties on both sides.

Close to 100,000 Indian and Chinese troops are deployed in eastern Ladakh.
