How would vaccine be distributed: PM holds meeting with 8 CMs





Prime Minister Narendra Modi is holding a meeting with eight chief ministers of the country on the present state of Covid-19 in the country and would also discuss the strategy for vaccine distribution.

In the first meeting, the presence of chief ministers from West Bengal, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Delhi and Chattisgarh was seen.

Modi, in the video conferencing, also had home minister Amit Shah, Dr VK Paul of Niti Aayog, Union health minister Harsh Vardhan and other top officials.

The Delhi CM’s office has said in the statement that “Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal sought PM’s intervention to get rid of pollution due to stubble burning from adjoining states especially in view of recent bio decomposer. CM has sought reservation of additional 1,000 ICU beds in central government hospitals till the third wave lasts.”

Supreme Court, it’s to be remembered, had asked four states about the worsening situation of Covid-19 in their region. They were Delhi, Assam, Gujarat and Maharashtra.
