Cow draped in saffron: Kerala Akademi shows shocking bigotry

Kerala Lalit Kala Akademi has shown a kind of bigotry which should be a concern to all Indians.

The Akademi has selected a cartoon on “Covid-19 and India” which shows India in a derogatory light. The irony is that India has successfully tackled the pandemic and it’s Kerala which has dragged it down in recent months.

The cartoon, by one Anoop Radhakrishnan, shows a global medical summit on Covid-19 on with representatives of the US, England,  China and India sitting side by side. The Indian representative, shockingly, is depicted as a cow with a saffron shawl draping it.

“Those in power should take steps to check such injustice or else people will have to intervene to end it. Those who love the country would not have to think twice to oppose it,” BJP’s Surendran posted on Facebook.
