As Covid slows down in MP, Chouhan announces pension for children





As Madhya Pradesh battles the deadly second COVID-19 wave, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today announced a Rs 5,000 per month pension for children who have lost their parents/guardians during such distressing times. Further, the government will also take care of their education and provide them with free ration.

“We will give Rs 5000 per month pension to children who have lost their parents/guardians in this COVID pandemic. We’ll also arrange free education for these children and free ration for these families,” Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced.

Apart from taking responsibility for the education of students, the government will also help people who lost their jobs during the pandemic. They will be granting loans to families on government guarantees to people who want to work.

“We will grant loans to these families on govt guarantee to people who want to work,” he announced.

Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh health minister Dr. Prabhu Ram Choudhary has claimed that the second wave of Covid-19 has slowed down in the state.

“In the last few days, the second wave of Covid-19 has slowed down in the state. The infection rate, which had climbed to 25 percent in April, has now gone down to 13.87 percent,” he said.

On Wednesday. the state reported 8,970 fresh cases and 84 fatalities.
