Aparna Yadav, the daughter-in-law of Samajwadi Party (SP) supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav, recently joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
In her recent review with a media network, she said that her main reason to join BJP is the nationalist ideology of the party.
“People are telling me that I have come to BJP for ticket… My ticket was not being denied in the Samajwadi Party. I have come to the BJP for nationalism.” “I was influenced by the policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Yogiji (Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath),” she said during her interview.
With a diploma in international relations, Aparna Bisht Yadav is the wife of Prateek Yadav, Mulayam’s son from his second wife Sadhna and is now expected to contest on a BJP ticket, though the seat is still being discussed by party leaders who have assembled in Delhi to discuss candidates.
Earlier on Sunday, Aparna Yadav had gone to meet Mulayam Singh Yadav to seek his blessing and said she would continue to be the “bahu (daughter-in-law)” of the Yadav family
