AAP’s candidate in Goa owns a maserati

Amit Palekar is a chief ministerial candidate for Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Goa and is a lawyer by profession. But he also owns a Maserati which costs Rs 1.16 crores. 

By the looks of it, Amit Palekar has been a successful lawyer beyond wildest dreams. His affidavit says that his net work is Rs 11.4 crores. 

Congress? Well its leader Michael Lobo has declared his assets to be Rs 84.38 crores. His wife Delilah is also listed as a Congress candidate and has declared her assets to be worth Rs 7.16 crores. 

The assets of former chief minister late Manohar Parrikar’s son Utpal, who is running as an independent against Monserrate in Panaji Assembly constituency, have been pegged at Rs 8.84 crore.

Kiran Kandolkar, the president of the Trinamool Congress in Goa, has listed Rs 5.13 crore as his assets. 

Is BJP any better? Well, one of its MLA Atanasio Monserrate and his wife Jennifer, jointly own assets worth Rs 48.40 crores. 

There are 301 candidates in fray in the upcoming Goa assembly polls, due to be conducted on February 14.
