Iran War: Why trust in media has hit rock-bottom!

Common people don’t trust media.

Nor social media and the commentariat class which hog it.

What they utter could be out of ignorance but that’s no excuse.

For last 72 days, we’ve been reading how Trump has sunk presidency with his reckless, misadventure in Iran.

That the hubris of boorish Orange Man with an outrageous tongue is pushing Americans to despair and economic recession.

Well last week the victories which Trump secured in early primaries and legal standoffs shows common people do not look beyond Trump.

In Indiana, Trump put little knowns against his own old Republicans-in-control for decades. The result was a stunning 5 out of 7 contests in his favour.

In Ohio, Trump backed Vivek Ramaswamy— and he won the gubernatorial primary.

There are five Republican seats added in revised Texas legislative maps which the Supreme Court has upheld.

Likewise, four Republican seats have been added in Florida which gives Trump’s Republicans 24-4 advantage against Democrats in the state.

Michigan likewise is showing early trends in Trump’s favour.

In Virginia, Republicans were handed a major win by the Supreme Court who overthrew the voter-passed map favouring Democrats.

Louisiana’s congressional map has been facilitated by the US Supreme Court favouring an additional Republican-leaning seat.

Suddenly, mid-term looks a cakewalk.

SO WHAT HAPPENED TO THE DISASTROUS IRAN WAR? THE ONE WHICH HAS SUPPOSEDLY BROUGHT THE US CITIZENS TO GRIEF?

Indian media and commentariat like @RShivshankar @ShivAroor @MinhazMerchant etc probably never get to read these facts.

Geopolitical and foreign experts like @Chellaney @SushantSareen @Suhasinih @shivshankarmenon are cheerleaders of Iran but can’t see the nation is at Trump’s mercy.

Iran would survive but so did Germany and Japan after WW2 and one can’t see it being a matter of pride.

Or plain propagandists like @MarioNawfal and @shanaka86 successfully pull wool over their eyes.

Mainstream Indian media, anyway, by choice or design, push fake narratives, blindfolded as they are by sinister news agencies such as @Reuters @AP and foreign medias such as @nytimes, @washingtonpost and all British dailies barring none.

There is one tool though which could help them discern between perception and reality —IT’S THE ECONOMY, STUPID.

  • The amount of power-plants in US completed or near-completion under Trump’s latest term is 68%!!!
  • There is a war launched against four meat-packing cartels which control 86% of this trade: These awful set-ups which thereby control the cattle-ranchers and American consumers.
  • There is a robust whistleblower programme where one can take 20% profits on spilling beans against wrongdoers hurting the State.
  • To get around the Federal Reserve, countless mini-banks are coming up all over the United States.
  • The Defence Department has an office of strategic capital — an own bank in Pentagon which doesn’t have to beg to Federal Reserve.
  • There is a facility within the energy department to issue credit to people who want to build new power plants, transmission facilities.
  • There is dedicated credit for nuclear power plants;
  • A new vault has been set up for strategic minerals;
  • There is a new aluminium smelting factory in the United States in 50 years.
  • First graphite mine and processing facility in 70 years.
  • The US stock market is trading at record high; including major indices S & P 500 and Nasdaq — let that sink in.

So clearly the hourly abuses, snubs, mocking, caricaturing, reviling, scorning and trashing Trump isn’t having any effect on the masses.

That he is stuck in Iran or he is bringing energy pains has little connect to what changes the common man is seeing brought about or put in motion by the Trump administration in their daily lives.

It also doesn’t go unnoticed when Trump highlights that his predecessor Barack Obama sent hundreds of billions of dollars to Khomenei regime in Iran and 1.7 billion dollars in green cash flown into Tehran, “emptying every bank in DC, Virginia and Maryland” and nobody in the mainstream media picks it up. NOBODY.

It doesn’t trend on social media.

And that Obama “wiretapping” Trump is arguably a bigger story than “Watergate Scandal” but nobody—just nobody—picks it up.

Never mind that tens of thousands have already read and reacted to Trump’s Truth Social post on the same (image below)

SO EITHER BY IGNORANCE OR BY DESIGN, MEDIA APPEARS COMPLETELY DISCCONNECTED WITH PEOPLE ON THE GROUND.

And that they are perceived as foot soldier of globalists working against leaders who are following a sovereign-ist agenda such as Trump, Narendra Modi, Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping.

INDIA SCENE

Look at how things have played out in India since 2014.

Modi has been ridiculed at every step but his connect with people grows stronger and stronger every year.

And that’s because away from perception in media, people are witnessing the material changes in their lives every day.

All media does is arm-chair reporting, or give undue space to the garbage which Opposition and their leaders put out as propaganda.

The daily posturing by a Derek O’ Brien and Mahua Moitra is given central space; Akhilesh Yadavs and Rahul Gandhi gimmicking is always front page news; Thackerays and Kejriwal the warriors to “save democracy and uphold constitution” but all this doesn’t cut ice with people.

People can see roads and power lines; toilets and subsidized homes, world-class infrastructure being built around them.

The truth is, media is seen as working for powers and not people.

If it was for people, it would send investigation teams in West Bengal and report on how many temples have been converted as TMC offices; how many BJP workers and supporters have forcibly been evicted from their shops and stalls over years; how their livelihoods and families have been snatched away from them.

Till media connects with the people — and see how their material lives are being transformed — all this grandstanding on some moral or ethical compass, some academic pearls of wisdom or carefully constructed narrative or ranting would dissipate on the altar of reality.

That’s where the SUBSTANCE is — and not in PERCEPTION.
