“Hindu religion scriptures are porn scripts”: Shocker

In what could spark a massive controversy, a Bangladeshi opposition leader made derogatory remarks against Hindu scriptures terming them “porn texts”.

Tarique Rahman, the joint convener of Bangladesh’s opposition party Gono Odhikar Parishad, said that Hindu scriptures do not offer any moral teaching and are porn texts.

Rahman is a close aide of opposition leader  Nurul Haque Nur who is seeking to oust the present Sheikh Hasina-led government in Bangladesh in the general election in 2024.

“Scriptures of the Hindu religion do not offer any moral teaching — all the religious scriptures are porn scripts,” Rahman said in a Facebook live telecast.

The video has gone viral on social media and is also being widely shared by many people.

Launched in October 2021, Gono Odhikar Parishad mostly has activists and youth as its leaders. The party reportedly has the backing of terrorist outfit Jamaat-e-Islami.
