Nobody liked Gambhir in Indian dressing room: Shahid Afridi

Gautam Gambhir and Shahid Afridi were never the best of friends on a cricket field or outside it. Now Afridi has courted a fresh controversy by claiming that nobody liked Gambhir in the Indian dressing room.

In a panel discussion, Afridi recalled his onfield rivalry with Gambhir.

“It’s not like I have had a fight with any of the Indian players. Yes, sometimes there are some arguments with Gautam Gambhir on social media. And I think that Gautam is a sort of character which no one likes even in the Indian team,” said Afridi on a show for Pakistani news channel Samaa TV.

Gambhir played 58 Tests, 147 One Day Internationals (ODIs) and 37 T20Is for Team India from 2003 to 2016. Afridi, a World Cup winner with Pakistan in 2009, played 27 Tests, 398 ODIs and 99 T20I for the Asian giants.
