There is threat to Hindu leaders and the RSS branch in Tarn Taran, Punjab as per intelligence inputs and security has duly been beefed by the local police and administration.
A report in Dainik Jagran mentions that police has already raided a checked the Gandhi Memorial Park, a part of the city where RSS organizes its Shakha. People have been alerted of the same and checking points have sprung up in the city.
In 2018, security for 900 Shakhas was increased amidst intelligence inputs in Pathankot and Gurdaspur.
