Kareena’s book ‘Pregnancy Bible’ irks a Christian group: Police complaint filed

A complaint against Kareena Kapoor Khan was filed in Beed, Maharashtra, over the title of her upcoming book, Pregnancy Bible. A Christian group has taken objection and had alleged her of hurting religious sentiments of the community.

The complaint was submitted by Alpha Omega Christian Mahasangh president Ashish Shinde at Shivaji Nagar police station, seeking action under IPC section 295 A, which relates to outraging religious beliefs. The use of ‘Bible‘ in the title has been objected to.

Shivaji Nagar Police Station, in-charge, Inspector Sainath Thombre informed that while they have got the complaint, they haven’t registered the FIR yet.

“We have received the complaint but no case can be registered here as the incident has not happened here (in Beed). I have advised him to file a complaint in Mumbai,” he said.

The book Pregnancy Bible: The ultimate manual for moms-to-be was co-authored by Aditi Shah Bhimjyani and Kareena Kapoor. She launched her book on July 9.
