5 MPs of Chirag Paswan’s party rebel against him in favour of his uncle





Five Members of Parliament of Chirag Paswan-led Lok Janshakti Party has shown the rebellious mode, bringing the speculation of big split to the fore. 

According to sources, Chirag’s uncle and Hajipur MP Pashupati Paras has written to Loksabha speaker Om Birla, seeking a change in parliamentary leadership. 

Paras, with his son Prince Raj and other three MPs namely Chandan Singh, Veena Devi and Mehboob Ali Kaiser is all set to hold a press conference at 3 pm today to announce the same. 

According to sources, the entire script of break started after Pashupati Paras had praised Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar and his development agenda. Chirag openly criticized his uncle and allegedly humiliated him for praising Nitish Kumar. 

“I was a minister under Nitish Kumar for close to 2 years and I really liked the way he worked. He always used to talk about development even with his cabinet colleagues, he talked about development. There was no compromise. In the last 15 years, under Nitish, Bihar has developed.” he had said in an interview with Republic TV. 

The Paswan scion did not share good relations with Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar and has accused him for using Dalits for his own political gains by creating a sub-group of Mahadalits.
