Congress gaffe: Kamala Nehru’s ‘death anniversary’ is ‘birth anniversary’ to them!

What do you call a party which repeats a gaffe year after year.

Today is Kamala Nehru’s death anniversary. The twitter handle of Congress solemnly declared it to be her birth anniversary.

If this was one off thing, one could understand. But the same tweet word-by-word had also been tweeted last year. Yes, again the tweet had mentioned Kamala Nehru’s death anniversary as her birth anniversary! The same copy and paste had happened with Dr Rajendra Prasad, India’s first president, on his death anniversary which falls to this day.

It’s difficult to understand how somebody who makes such a grave error is still on his job and repeating the same “sin” again and again. It has to be sin, for Kamala Nehru was wife of Pt Jawaharlal Nehru and that’s from where the Gandhi dynasty owes its origin.

The Congress’ handle has deleted the tweet and corrected it with a new one but the social media world is unforgiving. As shown above, a twitter handle called “Facts” has brought out the blunder in public space.

OpIndia has pointed out that Congress’ twitter handle pays tribute to Kishore Kumar without quite remembering that it was they only who had banned the legendary singer during the Emergency. Once Robert Vadra, husband of Priyanka Gandhi, had posted a selfie with the flag of Paraguay and not India behind him!
