India pacer Umesh Yadav is returning home, injured, after he tore off his calf muscle on the third day of the Boxing Day Test against Australia on Monday.
As per ANI, quoting a source, Yadav won’t be fit for the final Tests. And that its better he undergoes rehab at the National Cricket Academy (NCA).
Yadav, realistically, would be looking to recover in time for the England series in February-March.
Now that the team management has made up its mind to play with five bowlers, T Natarajan looks a good bet to play in the third Test.
