Prime Minister Narendra Modi would address four rallies in Bihar today, his third visit to the state which is staging the country’s biggest election since Coronavirus pandemic gripped the nation.
Modi tweeted last night in Hindi: “Tomorrow I will be in the middle of people of Bihar. On the occasion of this mega democratic festival, I will be seeking blessings from people at public meetings in Chapra, Samastipur, Motihari and Bagaha.
He would begin his rallies from Chapra, said to be the political stronghold of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav who is in jail for corruption.
Tejashwi Yadav is leading the mahagathbandhan of Congress and Left parties.
PM Modi, during a joint rally with Nitish Kumar, the CM face of NDA, had called the 31-year-old RJD leader “Jungle Raj ka Yuvraj” on Wednesday.
Modi has so far addressed six rallies in Bihar. In all, he would be addressing 16 election rallies.
The campaigning for the second phase of Bihar elections close today. The voting would take place for this phase on Tuesday to decide the fate of 94 seats of the 243 assembly constituencies. The third and final phase of voting would take place on Saturday. The results are due on November 10.
