PFI had sourced Rs 50 crore from Mauritius to incite violence in Hathras: Police





The Popular Front of India (PFI) had sourced a funding of Rs 50 crore from Mauritius to incite caste violence in Hathras, the Uttar Pradesh Police has alleged.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED), as it is, is seeking files from the UP Police and looking into the financial angles in this case.

On Monday, four persons of PFI were apprehended in Mathura after they were spotted moving from Delhi to Hathras. These four have now been booked under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and for sedition. They have been remanded for 14 days of judicial custody.
